Need help with this trig shit

If s=sin ∅' and c=cos ∅' simplify:
1) (c^4-s^4)/(c^2-s^4)?
any help?

I keep getting

cos^2∅ - sin^2∅

and the answers 1 so it should be

cos^2∅ +sin^2∅

according to google elementary is 5 years

in uk we have years 7-13

7+6=11 so elementary is up to year 11.

Im in year 12 so this is clearly not elementary.

so we have (c^2-s^2)(c^2+s^2)/(c^2-s^2) = c^2+s^2 = 1

dude, (c^4-s^4) simplifies to (c^2-s^2)(c^2+s^2)
so u have (c^2-s^2)(c^2+s^2)/(c^2-s^2)= (c^2+s^2)
