Yes, and this is why statisticians and psychologists don't get along. Psychological researches will jump in the air if they see a change in result of even 1% and block out any extraneous factors. They see what they want to see then they publish their shit and people actually believe them.

I signed up for a college program in law. We were required to take a Psychology course to pass. I took a look at the course syllabus and under Course Objectives it said:

1. Appreciate Psychology as a reputable scientific discipline

Needless to say, I was out of that program very soon after. I have a history degree instead.

People really need to appreciate the history of psychology as HISTORY and not science.

The future of psychology is in collaboration with neuroscience and psychiatry.

The problem seems to be that psychology is almost institutional dogma-driven "schools of thought" (e.g. "Who makes more sense, Adler or Jung?") rather than peer-reviewed empirically verified hypotheses.

Thanks to behavioralism (despite its flaws), psych has gotten a lot better in recent years.

In my AP psych class, when we got to Freud the very first thing my teacher said was "all of freud's stuff is pure bullshit" and that we were only learning it because of his importance in history and all that good stuff.

not the guy, but headhunting for companies, being able to conduct proper personality test (you've no idea who many seriously buys into the those test giving you some letters like INTP and shit), project management, stress managing, forming budgets based on HR resources, coaching and conflict handling, is just a few things I've been working with after majoring in social psychology.
