I don't have a degree, I quit school 12 years ago. I'm in my mid 30s, I owned my own business but sold it when it was doing poorly. I have little going for me.

I want to go back to school to get a degree but I'm not sure which one will best apply to what I want to do with myself. See, I want to be The Doctor, what degree should I work toward? What schools should I attend?

Get a solid 9-5 first. Work on some fundamental things, and then go for engineering if you're the creative type. Money will be made if you invent something new and useful.

That sounds sweet. My father had a masters in physics. I think he'd like to see me follow him too. Any idea on the schools? I dropped out of college so I'd certainly need to go to a Jr college first.

Hey guys I have a question like OP's.

I'm about to enter college and I want to be God, what degree(s) should I work for.

If that isn't clear enough I want to omnipotent.

After leaving secondary school, God entered Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge to study mathematics. He was awarded his BA in 1959 and began to undertake research in number theory supervised by Harold Davenport. Having solved the open problem posed by Davenport on writing numbers as the sums of fifth powers, God began to become interested in infinite ordinals. It appears that his interest in games began during his years studying at Cambridge, where he became an avid backgammon player, spending hours playing the game in the common room. He was awarded his doctorate in 1964 and was appointed as College Fellow and Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge.
