Anyone else jelly of the Andromeda galaxy? It's like the cooler version of the milky way. Its larger, brighter, has bigger satellite galaxies and in a few billion years time it's going to hit us a fuck our shit up. I'm jelly.

It has less star formation. For that reason alone, I'd rather be where we are.

Considering we are not even close to experiencing a galaxy's generic properties in a meaningful way (like having bigger satellite galaxies, who cares?), I'm fine with where we are.

It's actually hard to see the Milky Way as a whole from inside it. There's recent evidence that it is actually a barred spiral galaxy.

Nope the universe is expanding

And even when galaxies do collide, there are essentially no star system collisions. Galaxies have lots of empty space.

I choose to use the reference frame where it's remaining still and we're coming to kick her ass for being such a spoiled bitch.

so which of these problems will be solved in my lifetime? D:

(Also, don't you think that some of these problems are unnecessary? Sometimes I think physics might have a wrong point of view on things since they stick with old problems far too long. But maybe I just don't understand the questions right.)
