1) This is already the fact. There is no current evidence to the contrary, our reality is a meaningless one.
2) We are not perfectly logical beings. We are not robots. We are not Borg. We are not computers. It doesn't matter how meaningless we discover our reality to be, our biology and evolution will always keep us going. We will never just roll over and die and accept life as meaningless, even if we realise it to be the truth.
3) Moral conduct is apart of the instincts we developed during our early stages of evolution. It's less necessary now that we can replace it with power, but still plays too large a roll in our society to just disappear.

Scary thoughts realising that existence is meaningless or that you will one day die. And while a lot of people do obsess over this, most don't. Why? Because a lifeform that evolved to just role over and die wouldn't make it to this stage. The very fact that we exist to ask these questions means that those points you proposed could never really happen.
