Why does /sci/ hate engineers so much? I'm a bisexual engineer and love my job.

>> No.2285351

I don't hate engineers. I always thought it was just trolls, or a joke like being in the navy.

>> No.2285352

we don't hate, we accept our engineer brothers and their alternative lifestyle.

>> No.2285358

Oh yeah, engineers are great at stealing ideas from the people who are truly intelligent and turning them into soulless products to be bought and sold to make the wealthy even wealthier

real stand-up people, those engineers

"Army engineer" is an alternative name for "bullet magnet".

Yeah because when we're trans-humans and have moved beyond the need for commercialism, we won't ever need someone to design something.....

Engineering makes the world a better place. Scientists are a resource for the engineers to use.

you can be mad when YOU come up with the ideas they are "stealing".

OP is a faggot

dude.
engineers.
are
gay

>> No.2285464

>>2285358
yeah faggot, while your theories and shit won't get you anywhere. look at greek, raped multiple times. only 1 fucking engineer managed to do something about it.

science = independent but useless without engineering
engineering = dependent of science but extremely useful.

Dude, but the navy is seriously gay.

Not surprisingly, what he said can be applied to you too.

Fucking scientists have no place thinking they're superior to engineers. They understand how our shit works once they've seen it but lack the creativity to develop the solutions that we engineers do, just like we engineers understand the science that scientists discover, but lack the ingenuity and/or patience to make these discoveries ourselves. And the two fields overlap VERY closely; most of those studying one of the fields would show considerable proficiency in either. The biggest difference right now is that scientists look for answers that won't really be useful for another 300 years, whilst engineers work to improve technology and in general just get shit done. (Don't get me wrong; science is neat and all, and I would enjoy being a scientist as well. It's just, I like the fruits of my labor to be tangible and useful.)

And odds are, all you science majors are just gonna end up working under us engineering majors anyways since there just aren't that many science jobs available. You best start learning to like engineering now, because you're gonna have to deal with it for some time.

Very related, and reflects my attitude towards the subject quite faithfully:
