Hey /sci/ i am curious.

What got you to choose what you wanted to study for the rest of your life?

For me, I chose Astronomy because no matter how many times i go out at night and look up at the sky i am always amazed.

inb4 someone says they do it for money. Your a fag if you do it that way.

Took a physics class. Turned out to be the class I woke up for, and look forward to every day.

You had a hot professor, didn't you?

I'm studying economics.
I do it for money.
I'm not a fag, sometimes, life is hard to live.
I prefer physics and maths, but in my country, you won't find a job with those. Off-shorin shit

Nah man, I love the subject.

I think that once you start to learn about the beauty of the universe we live in, there is no going back.

I'm a Physics major, and cannot imagine myself studying anything else.

Speaking of thattttttt

That's what I want to go to university for. What's it like? It's university; are there any essays and stuff? Is it really hard? Will watching/reading physics/science related stuff help me out at all?

It is a lot of work, but if you really like it, you'll enjoy doing it.

Of course, reading/watching anything related will help! I often learn things in a class after I had already read about them and it's helpful.

But I would recommend immersing yourself in as many books as possibly simply to learn, not just to get ahead!

I studied astronomy for the money. best plan ever.

Define "Lot of work" :P
Like highschool times a lot? Or is it astronomically high? What about difficulty? And is it hard to get into?

And I'm watching videos on youtube and stuff. Actually quality stuff, so I already know about quarks and antiparticles and dark matter and stuff. Woot.
But to me it's fascinating, and I love it. Would you have any books to recommend for me, by chance?

>> No.2263750

I love astronomy and cosmology but if you come to boards like this often enough, there are a lot of guys that have the exact same dream.

Unless your top shit and publishing papers halfway though college, you're not finding a job

>> No.2263767

Brofist OP. That's the reason I love astronomy.
