I don't get this Manhattan Beach Project. Every day that Inurdaes guy posts the link and says we'll live indefinitely. But the article just says that a bunch of entrepreneurs came together and said "hey, let's end aging by 2029". How the fuck does that mean that we'll end indefinitely? They could have just as easily said "let's get the guys over at 4chan laid by 2029" or any other ridiculous claim, this doesn't make it any more probable.

I am interested in the possibility of using extra large solar sail statites to destabilize Phobos' orbit over time, but we could just save a step and create huge orbital mirrors which reflect extra heat and light into Mars. This is a task requiring advanced nanotechnology and independent space-faring mining droids to strip resources. Probably from Phobos. I reckon Deimos is more suited for a space base/hangar.

I don't get what the singulartarian hate is about, or is it simply hate over the inevitable circlejerks it inevitably leads to?

Also I can't bear the idea of immortality. What was the documentary following the eccentric CS come biologist? Trying to find the link without luck. But Dysons view in that pretty much sums up my own thoughts, science advances with funerals. Frankly I'd rather know humanity keeps stepping forward than live forever in a stagnant society.
