Actually I have gotten a B+ in Microecon theory 2.

And actually i should have gotten higher. I got 93% on the final, class average was ~75%. Only a B+ cause My midterms weren't so much above the average and the class absolute average is a 2.88 GPA...

My major concern comes in with econometrics, where I just got bent over on a final exam a couple days ago. I don't know the final marks. And it's curved, but let's just say I was brutally fucked in the ass unrelentingly. Unprepared. We go in, "okay you can have a calculator but you won't need it"..... every fucking question is in terms of variables, often many variables, and they took a few applications from econ theory courses which we may or may not have taken, luckily for me I have taken but they weren't a prereq for the class.


Also, got assraped on statistics without numbers.

I used a Mac for a while and the Chinese typing program that comes with it seems all right, so maybe you can just stick with that.

As far as learning the material I'm going to be quizzed on, I just use flashcards. Repetition seems to be key when it comes to me memorizing each character.

However, if you want to 'master' the language, I suggest you visit Smart.fm. Just search Chinese and you can find countless Chinese lessons. I enjoy the Chinese Media Series and I find it a great way to learn new words/phrases.
Also, I suggest you download Anki. It's sort of like virtual flashcards, but you can download things like, "20,000 Mandarin HSK sentences".
Umm I also recommend you download a Chinese podcast. Popup Chinese is the best one that I have found. Try to listen to Chinese music and follow along with the lyrics: http://www.chinese-tools.com/songs this website has some pretty shitty songs but it'll teach you new words.. You can also watch horrible Taiwanese/Chinese dramas with English subtitles... Remember, adherence is key, so always try to learn things that you can find interesting.

I also recommend you try Pimsleur, you can probably find a torrent of it for Mandarin Chinese.. It's really helpful for your speaking and listening skills. You can also listen to it while driving/walking around campus or whatever the hell other times you want to. Carrying around flashcards might also be a wise move as there are lots of times throughout your day when you aren't doing anything. Also make some fucking Chinese friends. Speak Chinese and have them correct your mistakes
