Emotions and senses are registered and create thoughts, which create more emotions and senses. A feed back loop. Some actions are created by some body part, and probably those parts come preloaded with some intrinsic responses.

The mind, malleable as it is, can learn to skip a in the loop, and associate action A with thought B or emotion C. For instance, breathing deeply and slowly is something you do when relaxed, sleeping. This response is something so ingrained that simply breathing deeply can activate it. If someone then calls that bundle of action/thought a chakra, that's fine. If they visualizes it somehow, than it's a metaphor of thoughts and feelings of their own bodies and actions and ones that can't be shared and reproduced, so is not science. To than affirm it has tangible existence seems too much. Does sticking needles in my chakras heal me?
Perhaps, but not enough to simply accept that some other effect might be the cause, for instance, poking needles deep enough to create a stress response but doing no real damage could be a cheap preventive treatment for many diseases. In rural settings, it'd only take a few generations before some basic healthcare is better than none. Would applying some other minute irritant, some bitter healing remedy, have the same effect as the needle? Probably. But doing both? Not very. Rubbing garlic on punctures wounds seems a bad idea.

tldr: Going for a 30 minute walk everyday will do more your health than any acupuncturist poking your chakras.

so as far as auras and chakras and the spirit realm, besides being a HUGE FUCKING QUESTION i can say simply this

People have pressence, this is neither measurable, nor visually perceivable, nor audibly so, however, its true, sometimes you can "feel" someone enter a room, or a person of greatness-- Dali Lama, Chuck Norris, whoever, seems to have a direct impact on how an entire area of people "sense" or "feel" regardless of their knowledge of that person. This could be an AURA, but by any other name would mean the same damn thing

As far as chakras. WE HAVE FUCKING 5 quarts of blood flowing to and from every inch of our bodies. We also have an entire network of nerves sending pulses of electricity (bluntly put) EVERYWHERE. Not to mention the brain. WHY THE FUCK do you all feel the need to over complicate that. If you "disrupt" it you die, if you learn it and why it does what it does well you do well yourself. Call it what you want, but unless you can show some magic fluffy joyfulness flowing through a motherfucker thats my story and im sticking to it.

Lastly the spirit world. Fuck if i know if there is so much as an afterlife, but i know damn well that id be a depressingly long and lame 70 years of life if i didnt think i had at least something to look forward to. I personally find it fun to battle with that question.
