I put the blame more on America's fatally infinitesimal amounts of foresight, then just religion alone. They seriously cannot comprehend the repercussions of their actions and act like a 4 year old because of it, nor can they sit down and realize a train is heading towards them so that they will move aside and not die.
There's an experiment where they sit little kids in front of a plate of marshmallows, and say "ok, kid, you have two choices: have only one marshmallow, but you get it right now. Or, wait 5 minutes, and get ALL the marshmallows!" ...America is the stupid little kid who wants the marshmallow RIGHT NOW even though it's so painfully obvious that the payoff for doing something other than that is so much better in the long run.

If the US could just think ahead like a minor functioning retard could, so many problems would be solved right now. So many diseases would have been cured, problems with education, fuck, everything would be solved. I mean we'd have problems, but we'd be fixing them.
