Let's hear your opinions on the future of warfare, especially robotic warfare.

Throwing a bone in here, I'd say tanks ought to be replaced by mechanized armor-suits for urban operations (which brings us to the attached image, a Landmate from the manga/anime Appleseed), which are more maneuverable than tanks in urban settings and is capable of firing in a wider arc with a weapon more suited to the small groups-guerrilla style of warfare urban combat necessitates.

Think about it.

Warfare doesn't inspire me tbh, but I think humans in general should wear halo style environment suits. Too many people die from stupid mistakes like falling down stairs.

It kind of defeats the purpose of tanks. Two legged suits would never be able to hold large enough armaments compared to the amounts that tanks can use. Nowadays they're also very fast.

UAVs motherfuckers, UAVs. Plus there's that Johnny-5-with-an-M16 shit that Qinteiq made.

Robotic warfare is here, the only real question is whether we'll be stuck with human controlled drone swarms (human controlled at an indiviual level or a meta-level?) or whether the whole shit gets AI programs to run it (see any decent FPS for starting points on programs)
