Let's consider the possibility that there is a God watching down upon us. This is, of course, a hypothetical question. How can we go about proving His existence and what methods need to be taken in order to do so?

showing how (hypothetically) different the universe acts in comparison with how one would act without a god.

First, define "God".

Read the bible it's all in there.

The bible is a mere book written by man and it's not a good source when it comes to discovering God.

>>2159215
This actually sounds good, but how would you even do the comparison experiment?

Let's consider the possibility that there is a Little Red Riding Hood watching down upon us. This is, of course, a hypothetical question. How can we go about proving Her existence and what methods need to be taken in order to do so?

God does not exist.

I've been up to the challenge for some time now, but I don't know where to begin.

I don't want to use the bible or any other historical documents.

To prove an omnipotent, omniscient being, we have to have his cooperation.

If he doesn't want to be found, he won't be.

There is no god. If there is a (relatively) powerful immaterial entitie, i see no reason to worship it.
In fact, i don't see reason to the act of worship itself.

What if there is a relatively powerful immaterial entity that demands worship in exchange for not destroying you?

Isn't God basically dark matter?

Then our test is easy. Don't worship it and see if you get destroyed.

the term 'who' can only be used if you treat everything and anything as living beings, so the stars would be named 'the star [name]' or just it's name. if you separate yourself from the rest and claim only walking, moving, talking things can be considered people, able to use the prefix/suffix 'you', then obviously, God doesn't exist -- if you manage to remove that viewpoint from your mind, it's easy to find God.

This is NOT historical documents !

Shut up, Aether ! you're not welcome on /sci/.

Op, if a god exists, with all the paradoxes it implies, then we can't scientifically its existence unless it shows itself. That's why religious fags are keeping their "Hurr prove me wrong, durr !". Anyway, this has no importance. No one ever saw any god, except schizophrenic, power needing, junky fags some thousand year ago who just though they saw it, or pretended it, just to get some attention from their contemporary retards.

pic unrelated

"God" is a religious concept, how could you prove it ? And do you really think it would be lovingly watching down upon us ? How naïve !
