If the people with aids die faster than aids is passed on, aids will eventually disappear. If people are born faster than people get aids, everyone will not get aids. If we cure aids, or manage to control it well enough, everyone will not get aids. Also some people are immune to aids.

All current data shows that AIDS does not spread nearly quickly enough to seriously threaten people who aren't in the sex industry or injecting drug users. Statistics were tweaked in the 90s to get more funding.

Ironically there is a rare gene occurring in Scandinavians that makes some immune to AIDS. Probably the people that need it the least :D
