/g/ is basically a pc/mac/icunt vs ipenar board. So I come to you /sci/borgs.

Basically, is resistance futile? The increasing interface between humans and technology can only increase. Nor will it be possible to opt out. A techno dropout is a threat to the machine will be hunted.

Anything you do to resist technology burrowing under your skin (sometimes literally) will, itself, require technology. The machine will respond to this by neutering that threat, thereby becoming stronger. The unabomber thought so. And he was correct. Not that I wish to blow anyone up. That was an ethical and tactical mistake.

Is an article on the machine (and also an excellent website). I do not like the idea of a hivemind where the concept of the individual is meaningless, having become dissociated from thoughts and feelings (if they still exists).

Are the Borg a foregone conclusion? And how might we steer clear, if possible?

Thats just an assumption. I have no desire to "hunt down" people who aren't online. Actually Id prefer they stay off the net.

Well, it's a crime to not register births etc. That is the machine looking for threats to its existence.
