Hey /sci/

Its been a long time since I did algebra.
Whats 4x+3/5=1 and can you give me a refresher on how I would actually get the answer?

>> No.2116081

:D Made my day.

>> No.2116082

Provided you do the same thing to both sides, you'll be sweet.

4x+3/5-3/5=1-3/5
4x = 2/5
4x/4x = (2/5)/4
x = 1/10

Hey OP,

Nobody here actually knows anything. Go back to /b/

Wait, damn. Second to last line is

Op cannot into imaginary numbers. He will never truly understand how all those TV stations can come through just one cable.

Wait.. how did you get 1-3/5 into 2/5

>> No.2116252

>>2116229
1 = 5/5
5/5 - 3/5 = (5-3)/5 = 2/5

>> No.2116290

20x+3=5
20x=2
x=1/10
whats the big deal?
4(1/10)+3/5=1
4/10+3/5=1
1=1
