Hello /sci/. Leaving high school at the end of this year, going into University, I want to go into a science field, but I don't know which one pays best. I'm not picky about which field to go in, but if someone could give me an approx. yearly pay in AUD and where i would be able to get a job in that field, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Why you so fucking concerned about the pay? All scienist make a decent amount (usually 60k starting). You dont do into science for "the pay". You go into it casue you like science. FUCK OFF WITH YOUR UNDERAGE BULSHIT!

If your primary concern in life is money, you will never be happy! Enjoy being a wage slave!

Dickhead, I turned 18 earlier this month. And i'm not going into science for the wages, i'm just having trouble picking which field to go into because I like all science fields equally. Thanks for your constructive comment, knob head.

yeah, you will not last in science if all you are concerned about is the pay, do it because it interests you.

And yet you're asking for the pay, not anything interesting about your so called choices, you could ask an EEfag about their career and so on.

fuckoff and do engineering

If you want money, just do engineering.

If you dont care about the money, think longer and decide what you like the best.

As far as I'm aware, Physics has the best career prospects. You learn a lot of problem solving and computer skills, plus you get lots of maths knowledge. This makes you extremly desirable to businesses, as well as being able to go into pure physics research, engineering, teaching, almost anything you want.

However, physics is the one most people enjoy the least. I would defiantly recommend doing the one you enjoy. Most universities/courses allow you to change courses after the first term or even year if you don't enjoy it.
