So I'm studying for the GRE and I've been taking their practice tests.

I averaged out my scores for the Vocabulary and Quantitative sections.

Turns out I miss, on average, 1 out of 200 questions for Vocab, which is alright.

On the other hand, I miss 2 out of 5 questions for Quant,which isn't alright.

How do I awaken that part of my brain which once governed math? I haven't taken a math class in years and feel like my abilities have withered.

From the practice questions I've taken though, knowledge isn't as important as numeric reasoning. I can find out some of the general rules of math just fine, but what I really need is a way of flash-banging my brain into a mode where such reasoning comes easier to me.

Any tips will do.
