ITT: Your favourite complex theory to explain to someone, knowing fine well it will confuse them, thus making you feel like an intellectual badass.

Or a huge cocksucker, it's this attitude that will allow us never to educate people about the truth.

Some people are just far too idiotic to learn the truth though.

Haven't tried it yet, but "electromagnetism is the curvature of hamsterwheels placed everywhere in spacetime" should do the trick.

I like the whole mathematical equivalence between 1) photon forming an e- and e+ and 2) and electron coupling resulting in an electron being recoiled back in time

Haven't tried it, but the Higgs mechanism is pretty cool and pretty hard to both understand properly and explain.

I regularly explain the history of all things to people. I've worked it down into a single sentence that people actually understand. Sometimes they need a little more elaboration but generally they get it. And I haven't been able to find anything scientifically inaccurate about this sentence yet, I'd be happy to hear any corrections you guys may have.

Hydrogen is a light, odorless gas, which, given enough time, eventually becomes all of the other things, including people, and those things which make them up, through the process of nuclear fusion inside of the stars.

Hate to bump, but I'm actually pretty curious as to whether or not anyone can find anything inaccurate there. I'd hate to keep going around and telling this to people only to find out that it's wrong in some way.
