Are there things about the universe that will be forever beyond our grasp? Are there things about the universe that are "ungraspable'?

>> No.2079338

you will never grasp the sun, black holes, etc. these things will kill you if you get too close.

Probably exactly how the big bang occurred, if you count that as about our universe. Also how the universe will end.

In addition, there will be absolute tons of stuff we never know if are species goes extinct (relatively) soon.

It's... not technically impossible. Perhaps when transhuman technology advances enough we'll be able to travel to the sun. however I would suppose you'd have a heck of a time trying to get off. Jupiter itself has 240G's, and the sun holds 99.8% of all matter in the solar system.

Given enough time to develop the observational techniques and the logical rigor necessary, the only thing which would bar us from discovering everything possible would be if there was infinite information in the universe. The universe is finite, it's possible to discover everything.

I'm reminded of the last question, where humans reach a level that enables them to literally mold galaxies.

I can't remember the Multivac line. INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANSWER or something. Fucking entropy.

He's right though, even if we THINK we know everything and have the universe quantified into perfect simplicity there may still be some order of magnitude or some form of space or matter or fundamental particle that we cannot actually observe. We may be trapped in a single causal reality that runs perfectly parallel with another, for example.

Reality IS what we can observe.

If our reality runs parallel to another reality, as in it does not have any direct effect on how we observe our own reality, then that parallel reality does not exist..
