So guys. I've decided that I want to live forever at the nice age of 32 years old. I want to see what happens to the human race as it destroys itself in the next thousand or so years. I might also write a book about it. What do?
I'm happy to sell my soul to whoever can provide this for me.
Pic related.

Also, I'm only 19 now so there's plenty of time to sort something out before I'd have to halt my aging. If that helps at all.

I'm not afraid of dying. I'd just like to experience everything and learn everything about what the world has to offer first.

I recall seeing an article recently saying something to the effect of "anyone under 40 should expect to be able to live a very long time" due to research being put into stopping (and possibly reversing) aging. So you just might get your wish. I honestly want to live thousands of years as well, less than 100 years is just such a short period of time. This planet has been around 4.5 billion years. The universe, around 14 billion. I want to see so much more than 70 or 80 years has to offer.

I hope that article was right. Still, it is kinda my own incredibly selfish wish that I could be immortal while everyone else remains mortal. A globe of immortal humans would result in us driving our species into the ground much faster than we would have done otherwise with things like resources and land becoming more of a problem. If it were only me though then there would be no problems like these.

not really, it would just mean the birth rate would have to slow down. it might actually be better for humanity, because for half of your life, you're pretty useless. Between 0 and 22ish you're in school, and after 65 you retire. Therefore, you only have about 40 productive years.

read this hplus article on what will be obsolete after the singularity, it was like human bashing to hell. This websites seem highly one sided and blinded by the idea of a singularity.

It's been argued that the "soul", or a soul like entity, "exists" into modern times (yes, by non-theists too). I take no stance on it as I cannot prove or disprove it.

On the contrary I think it would unite everyone to face the serious problem of the Malthusian world and all efforts would be placed on colonizing other planets, or imposing laws on reproduction.
