Never posted on this board, but I need help.

I am given the wavelength of a wave, which is 1.7 x 10^-7 meters. I am asked to find the frequency. How do I calculate this?

Velocity = frequency * wavelength, so frequency = velocity/wavelength. The velocity is the speed of light, which is 3.0 x10^8 m/s (perhaps use a more exact value if your course requires it). Therefore the frequency = (3.0 x10^8/1.7 x10^-7) Hz.
