So, I am reading through all the mistakes in this movie, and I notice that no one mentions how he just freezes to an icicle in two seconds as soon as he's exposed to space.

lolwut? This is ridicilously incorrect, isn't it? No one would just freeze to death, I mean, it's a nothing, isn't it? Damn my high school knowledge.

Exposure to vacuum will not result in freezing. In fact, they would stay warm indefinitely so long as they are alive because the only way to lose heat in vacuum is via radiation, which is very slow. No atmosphere = no convection or conduction to lose heat.

However, the reduction in pressure means much lower boiling points. So, water on yuor skin will boil away, and cary away some heat with it. Not HUGE amounts, but your skin will feel cool and your eyes will dry out very quickly.

Exposure to vacuum will kill you in about 90 seconds, but you will lose consciousness after about 10-15.

Depressurization. Your body can't cope with it for long, hence rapid loss of consciousness. You die from that + no oxygen.

AFAIK if you're connected to a pressurized oxygen supply and take long, slow breaths, you could survive nearly indefinitely save for evil space radiation giving you cancer. I'm not 100% on that, because I haven't seen any information regarding whether exposure to depressurized environments will kill you by itself.

Your statement is 90% correct, however you neglect the fact that in a vacuum as well as boiling point increasing there is a decrease in freezing point.

Check the phase diagram. At zero atmospheres of pressure water can only be a liquid or solid. Any water molecules at the surface of your body which do not have the energy to become gas will become ice immediately.

When you take the temperature of a liquid you are taking the average of billions of molecules. At the molecular level temperature is distributed randomly; so not all the molecules will have the energy to become a gas.
