How do chromosomes connect with gender and can they be changed easily?

>> No.2026160

Transgender girl here and I was apart of a science experiment. They successful changed my chromosomes from XY to XX. I'm not suppose to tell anyone about this, but since this is an anonymous imageboard. Chances are you won't believe me anyhow.

They don't. They connect with sex. Learn the difference.

They cannot be changed easily.

Feasible in single cells, not in a whole person. Read less science fiction.

Actually, chromosomes aren't in league in with gender or sex. Society only made the connection and yes it is possible to change them easily.

Now go read your bible.

How about you do your own research outside of Wikipedia and stop being a close minded fool?

>> No.2026210

OP, from new studies, chromosomes CAN be changed easily. You have to break the Y and make an X.

Wow, look at all the samefagging in this thread.

You can't cite the need for citation.

Might wanna recalibrate your senses there, Radar. Maybe you ought to pay more attention to the diction of posts instead of just blindly guessing in an attempt to look clever.

Show me a single reliable source indicating that chromosomes do not determine sex, and I'll believe you.

Keep in mind, of course, that sex and gender are not the same thing. Don't go posting some undergraduate Gender Studies essay on society's perception of gender norms and think you've won. I'm talking about biological sex, and I'm assuming that you were as well, unless you simply misused the word "sex" like an idiot.

Wikipedia:
" In many cases, sex determination is genetic: males and females have different alleles or even different genes that specify their sexual morphology. In animals, this is often accompanied by chromosomal differences."

So I'm guessing you're talking about the fact that the chromosomal differences simply correspond to different sex differences and don't actually cause them.

Am I right? Or am I missing the point?
