Alright, /sci/, looks like you guys lied to me.

That there link has a lot of them sciences. What can you do to convince me NOW that the LHC won't destroy civilization?

Also, I can't wait for the experiment. As to how to convince you, I suggest you actually learning particle physics.

try as I might, I can't find any real refutations of what's in the article

>How I imagine all the LHC tinfoil hats:

Fucking strangelets, how do they work?

>> No.2025133

Well it seems like we're going to die...
What am I going to do?
i don't know to tell you the truth...
I don't enjoy life that much anyways T_T

>> No.2025170

How to prove if the LHC will produce strangelets:
Surprisingly, the LHC works the same way as a ye olde toaster. To see how safe it is, first you have to fill up a bathtub full of water. This will act as a buffering solution for when you get into the tub. By diluting your natural oils, you'll ensure no errors in your results. Now put the toaster (it must be plugged in silly) in the tub with you. The elements within the toaster, combined with the rhythmic beating of your muscles will simulate a typical LHC experiment. Should strangelets be produced (in this case, copper sulfate will turn the water blue - which is harmless!) you'll know the LHC is going to kill us. But if you have tried it like I have, the water does not turn blue, so we are safe!

Don't believe me? Try it!
