Instead of NASA and other countries having space research programs why don't we just have one world program that's responsible for the world's civilian space, aeronautics, and aerospace research?

>> No.2003996

That would be a great idea, unfortunately the socio-political boundaries which exist in this world are too great to allow such a thing to happen.

The ISS was a good first step, though.

It doesn't matter really since NASA gets the best people in the world. However isn't competition good? Just look at the cold war.

NWO? Did someone say New World Order?

REPTILIANS!!!!!

>> No.2004111

Because space research has military applications.

Anything that has military applications can't (and shouldn't) be shared with foreign powers.

Eliminate the threat of war (har har) and you'll have your unified space program

Politics don't allow for human profession

And military pays for most of the projects anyway

>> No.2004128

Like NATO maybe?

Because U.S. is already the best at all of it so fuck those loser countries

>> No.2004136

Nasa pretty much is a global program. If you think the only astronauts that go into space are Americans, you're a dipshit.

>mfw when OP thinks the world can cooperate on anything let alone space exploration

>> No.2004167

there is a lot of independent research, a lot of collaboration also. I was fortunate enough to attend a lecture of doctor Alexander Martynov, a dude who works at russian mission control, and there will HAVE to be a collaboration with NASA and ROSCOSMOS if they want to send a nigga on mars. It is a little off topic but he said the 3 biggest problems right now are currently waste disposal, laundry, and psychological impact of the trip. lol.
