Why does getting stung by a wasp hurt?

Also, why does it leave a bump?

I guess evolution isn't real after all...

Why does getting stabbed by a knife soaked in poison hurt?

Also, why does it leave a necrosis?

Could you elaborate?

The wasp's stinger injects poison into your body, that is why it hurts and why it leaves a bump, its an alergic reaction to the poison. The wasp needs to hunt for food, it doesn't just poke its prey to death, it injects poison into it. That's why one wasp sting hurts, but a hundred will kill you, enough stings means enough poison to kill you.

Venom is injected.

Poison is ingested.

That's all very interesting, but do the elder wasps give the young ones these weapons when they come of age? How are these "stingers" distributed?

they are created in the wasp nest, the larger the nest the more stingers, and also the deadlier stingers they can produce. a wasp nest the size of a basketball can produce up to 500 stingers at a time for it's warriors. they are loaded while they sleep via rape, and then when they poop it all discharges and they cant sting you till next time they sleep.

AFAIR wasp venom is alkaline, not acidic.
Bees have acidic venom.
