Now let me first state that I am an atheist. But if multi-verse theory is true, which means that an infinite quantity of varied universes exist, each one different in an infinite amount of ways, shouldn't at least one (or likely more) exist that has a god as a creator? Or am I or the theory full of shit?

You're on /sci/.
You're automatically trolling and full of shit by posting.

>> No.1971061

the theory is shit
God is real, though

>> No.1971069

Full of shit sounds about right. If M-theory is true and complete, it would already explain why each universe is created without the intervention of any god.

lol, the funny part is I thought i was asking a decent question...

1. I hate M theory even though I have no right to since I've been educated in a completely different field and don't <span class="math">really[/spoiler] have enough information to judge.

2. The 'infinite' possibilities are actually members of a finite set that contains all possible states that a universe can exist in. This set, while HUGE, does not necessarily contain a universe with which a god is associated. I think that makes since, but I could be wrong.

>> No.1971099

infinite *natural* possibilities is all that the multi-universe theory predicts. since god would be SUPERnatural (defined to not defined within physical law) , god would not be included in the set of impassibilities

>> No.1971105

Accept for the fact that GOD OUR LORD actually does exist and created THIS universe. Sorry atheist, but you're going to hell.

I'll prey for you.

You do that and I'll pray for him.

You don't understand the first fucking thing about M theory. Witten doesn't understand the first fucking thing about M theory even, you're too retarded to grasp his dumbed down pop sci explanations of it.

The point is, stop trying to draw far reaching philosophical conclusions from a theory that is a) not about that at all b) not even close to complete and c) way fucking beyond you or anyone else on /sci/.

>> No.1971295

>>1971179 chill out mate! I just had this thought about the implications of such a theory, based upon what I had read. I just wanted to see what other people thought... My point is FUCK YOU :)
Also what dumbed down explanation don't I understand about m-theory?
