Hey /sci/.

I'm starting a 20-minute psychology presentation in a few days, and I need to pick a topic tomorrow. All of the topics suggested are boring as fuck. What's something I can talk about for 20 minutes and not have to repeat the same thing over and over?

tl;dr - Need interesting psychology presentation topic.

Dunbar's number (and the several that have been calculated since then)

Piss everyone with 500 facebook friends off.

Just say:
>My topic is: People are stupid.

And then rant for 19 minutes and 55 seconds.

I like the idea, but I couldn't keep that going for 20 minutes.

Do something on neural networking and then just start talking about BlueBrain and AI and stuff. It's what I'd do and it's a whole lot more interesting than all that clinical or social bullshit.
Something on mirrorneurons is also interesting.

What the fuck are you talking about? I'm not an expert on the matter, but statistics has shown that therapy works at least as good as medication and has more beneficial long term effects.

Look at how fast and accurate the little dude is. I doubt many people could do this even with a lot of training.

I may just do artificial intelligence in general, focusing on the psychology aspect of it.

More ideas welcome.

Well, psychology is kind of a big field, what are your interests OP?
Visual perception, psycholinguistics, working memory, neuropsychology, game theory, cognitive control, behaviorism, psychopathology, developmental psychology,....?

Someone on /sci/ a few weeks ago posted about attentional blink. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attentional_blink
I thought that was pretty neat. You could do a presentation just on that, or maybe on the RSVP method and some experiments that have been done using it.
