During the next Republican administration, then NASA dies.

Then SpaceX and the Open Space Movement take over and use GLORIOUS MOLECULAR ASSEMBLERS to start the space age once they become available.

This sounds probable.

Why wouldn't the tiger be able to breathe? And don't say there's no air, because there is. There's even an Air in Space museum that proves it.

OT: NASA's been effectively dead since Columbia went boom. Everything after that has just been death throes.

Lol they'll never get rid of nasa ever.

Anyway, Obama himself said they would send men to Mars but they can't now because it would be poor taste considering the current economic state of affairs. They're drawing up plans, just calm down you faggot alarmists. They sent 12 men to walk on the moon when nobody else in history did and they'll do better later. Bush before him planned the Mars mission too. It won't be soon but we'll definitely be the first ones there. Don't forget they did this back during the Nam era when military spending was far higher percentage of GDP wise.

i think nasa should be axed. I remember a few months after the big economic crash some nasa guy was on c span taling about a launch they did for a satelite that would scan a small area and figure out what percentage of the stars in that region had planets the size and distance from the star similar to the earth. It cost like a few billion dollars i believe.

What a waste. Intersteller travel doesn't seam realistically possible in my opinion. So what the fuck good is this project.

"hey bill, 5% of stars have earth like planets so there may be life, but we'll never encounter it"
