k /m/ad citizen I want some help here for my tutoring.

There are 345 people served and there was $1395 dollars raised.
A= $5 cost of adult ticket
C= $3 cost of child ticket
How many adult tickets were sold?
My real question is how does equation look like?

<div class="math"> 5A +3C = 1395</div>
<div class="math"> A+C = 345</div>

>> No.1913625

T = cC + aA, where "T" equals "total amount raised," "c" is the number of children, and "a" is the number of adults.

also,

c + a = 345

T = 1395

so...

1395 = 5a + 3(345 - a)

therefore....

1395 = 5a + 1035 - 3a

1395 = 2a +1035

2a = 360

a = 180

c + a = 345

if a=180, c=165
