I wasn't sure if this was /ck/ or /an/ territory, but I figure that you guys would have a better idea of the various types of bacteria.

Let's say that hypothetically I cooked some food with disease-ridden, parasite-covered, bacteria-infested pans and utensils, but that I served and ate the food with clean cutlery. Would I be at risk from catching anything nasty? Or to put it another way, are there any bacteria or parasites that can survive the heat of a pan on a burning stove?

Go ahead. Baking for 5 mins kills all bacteria.
You're only risking odd flavours and hairs in you food.

That's bullshit. Try baking a rotted piece of chicken breast for 5 minutes and eating it. You'll puke your guts out.

1. You wouldn't catch anything nasty
2. The byproducts of decay would taste like asshole, and can poison you.

>> No.1903871

That's not how it would work though. You would keep contaminating the food every time you used a utensil to move it.

>> No.1903872

Your immune system has got that shit, dw.

>> No.1903880

The utensils are the only problem. As long as you use clean utensil when you take the food out of the pan you should be fine.

bacteria = everywhere all the time

you want to worry about certain bacteria because they can take the harsh conditions of your stomach and such turn it into a place to breed and create byproducts that your stomach doesnt enjoy, e.g. Salmonella, Listeria, E.coli O157, Campylobacter etc...

so heat your food that may have that in, industry standard for cleaning bacteria out of pipes is steam at 147 C for about 7 minutes (bacteria are resiliant motherfuckers, but heat will eventually kill you)

do not mistake rotton food and bacteria as being the same thing that will make you sick, rotton food will make you sick because it simply isnt food anymore the bacteria have already gotten to it, turned it into shitty bi-product soup,. you dont really want to eat it because of what it is, not because of the bacteria on it.
