To develop one's critical thinking traits, one should become aware of one's own fallibility by.
1.accepting that everyone has subconscious biases, and accordingly questioning any reflexive judgments;
2.adopting an ego-sensitive and, indeed, intellectually humble stance;
3.recalling previous beliefs that one once held strongly but now rejects;
4.tendency towards group think; the amount one's belief system is formed by what those around them say instead of what one has personally witnessed;
5.realizing one still has numerous blind spots, despite the foregoing.

Has /sci/ done this?

I suspect that most atheists attribute their condition to this process.

At present man is in a state of great spiritual darkness—the darkness which precedes dawn. He has carried his scepticism to the point where it is forcing him to conclusions he know intuitively are wrong. At the same time he has carried his investigation of natural phenomena to the point where it is disproving all it seemed to prove in the beginning. Free will is finding that all roads lead finally to the same destination; Science, theology, and philosophy, having no desire to join forces, are approaching a point of merger. Scepticism faces destruction by its own hand.

Grade One Thinker fag here.

Yes, I have done this. However, I'd like to wager that less than 10% of /sci/ has.
Don't take that as too much of an insult. It's better than the 0% for the religious populations.

I'm sorry if you perceived my comment as arrogant; it wasn't meant to be taken that way. Arrogance is definitely /sci/'s biggest problem.
But we must understand that this arrogance, for many people here, stems from an unjustified period of social isolation and, in some cases, bullying.

The day that we start showing some compassion and love for our fellow man and learn to cooperate is the day where we lose the need to defend our established personal biases and arrogance.

Hell I was bullied but it did not effect me.

No need, you fit the troll and idiot bill pretty smoothly, saying this from past experience. I have no idea whats going on in this thread. upon reading your op it seems sort of legit but trolling isn't about the topic, its about reeling in lolcows.

also, I cant remember my breakfast last tuesday, you seriously want me to recall every stupid idea i had as a kid?
