ITT: Post the most impressive, awe inspiring and informative video you've ever seen on Youtube.

I'll start with this one:

It has several things that bother me, for example that 'no other god but me' meaning that 'any god' is not going to work only works if you consider the other gods to be separate entities and not just different interpretations of the same god.

That video takes some things literally and other things not literally and does it selectively for its own point.

this is a very interesting phenomena studied in math, called synchronization. By accident, this was the first example of how biological systems sync without planning. The sync is so harmonic that the bridge started to balance side to side.

Theres transfer of information via tiny oscillations of the bridge to our equilibrium system. Synchronization is a key property to understand emergence, which is a huge field of research since a couple of decades

"organic foods" are simply foods grown without modern conveniences like pesticides.

They don't taste better, they taste no different. But you certainly do get less efficient crops as more of your yield is lost to pests and weeds.

This additionally leads to higher prices, on top of the premium charged for it being "organic" and "better" for you.

Truth be told, if you're concerned about pesticides and the taste of your food, grow it yourself. Or buy local produce. Organic food is simply just marketing/scamming to get you paying more money for no reason other than to feel good about yourself.

You've got it ass-backwards, hippie: taste-tests found that people can't tell the difference, it's all the presentation-effect, and "organic" foods don't use synthetic pesticides, but they still use pesticides. Get your head out of your ass before your next post, please.

>> No.1893620

>>1893590
But is that difference in taste you think you taste an actual difference in the substance of the fish that means one tastes better than the other, or your perception of the taste being altered by your preconceived notions of which "should" taste better?

Your knowledge here is unrefined; it comes out of common sense. There's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't really tell us all that much about the world.

What we'd really need is a double blind taste test of farmed and caught-by-hand fish.

This doesn't even approach the problem of taste being in large part subjective and culturally relative. What you--or even a fairly large sample of people--consider rotten and stinking of ammonia in terms of fish might be a delicacy and taste really good to others.
