No, it appears as though at the atomic level, they behave as though they conserve energy as they wish to occupy the lowest energy level. Subatomic particles also behave like this through electrostatics.
This behaviour is distinct from that of the universe, which is expanding and accelerating into ? unknown.

me, im not sure. But, there are ways with Physics to figure this out. But, we probably would have already figured this one out if we are a subatomic particle in a much greater universe
