Why bother becoming an engineer when you can be an air traffic controller?


So I'm talking to my friend, and he says that air traffic controllers can get paid like $50 an hour, with good benefits and shit.....Dude, why the fuck don't I become one?

He says that all I need to do is take a two year course or something...Fucking lawyers get paid around that amount, man. Why don't I become an air traffic controller?

Reagan fired all the air traffic controllers in the 80's over their strike so essentially the entire workforce started working at the same time and is about to retire. There is a massive looming personnel shortage.

there is a reason ATC people are paid over 100k a year. You think being a president is bad? he has the option to get the fuck out after 4 years. You dont. You regularly have to juggle thousands of lives, and if you fuck up even slightly, alot of people are going to die, and millions of dollars of very expensive airplane will go up in flames.
