/Sci/, I come to you with a question; do we have the technology to turn electric energy into propulsion in space? For example, could we have nuclear powered rockets?

Do we have the science? Yes, but our nuclear reactors are not good enough to power a full-blown VASIMR, merely an array of MPD's.
