Every number divided by 0 is the original number, because if divided by nothing (zero) the number still the same.

Check mate paradox.

x / 0 = x
Multiply both sides by 0
x = 0 for all x

>> No.1872463

Wrong, divided by 1 is the original number because you part one apple into one apple. You do not part one apple into zero apple.

>>1872463
Or in math terms
x /1 = x
Multiply both sides by 1
x = x

You can't put an apple into zero groups.

Unless the apple disappeared, in which case zero apples fits into zero groups.

Who the fuck has apples?

If you divide by zero, you don't actually divide. No mathematical action takes place.

No, if you divide by zero you actually do divide, but no mathematical action takes place

Well if you think of it as how many 0s are in 7, you could say, 1,2,3,4,5,15,9872 0s are on 7. So therefore it is 7 but it could be 8 or 9 or 9000.

I always thought about it this way. If you divide something by zero, you end up with the same amount. This DOES NOT mean that you divide by zero, this means that it's pointless and you don't do it.

well apart from troll, nothing and zero are not the same so, premise fail

>You divide 3 pizzas among you and two other friends.

3 divided by 3 = 1

Everyone gets a pizza each.

>you divide 3 pizzas among zero friends.

3 divided by zero = 3

you're left with all the 3 pizzas.

>> No.1875702

how come we can take the square root of a negative yet we still can't divide by zero?

>> No.1875711

>>1875698
you're left with 3 pizzas but you never did the task of actually dividing the pizza, not even amongst yourself. the dividing part was the point of the entire exercise, and you failed to address it. the fact that you have pizza remaining does not matter.

sometimes, like in information theory, log 0 is set to 0 for continuity purposes
isn't x/0 set to inf for some purposes? meh, whathafuk do i know

More like.
Each person among those who got pizza gets an unknowable amount of pizza.
pic related it's the pizza I get when dividing it among 0 friends

>sigh

No, you do not divide by zero. Though you have no friends to share the pizza left, there is still one person in total (you) so it is still 3/1 as opposed to 3/3.

fixed, because multiplying by zero always results 0
