Not sure if this is the right board to post this, but I have an honest question here:

Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?

Call me retarded, but I was just never taught about magnets in depth. I know it has something to do with polarities 'n shit but I'm just kinda confused here. What exactly is magnetism? Why do certain metals attract to others?

How do magnets work?
