Can women science?
-Yes, women can science.

Do women science?
-Not nearly as much as men, and you will get a multitude of answers for why that is.

Biologists and (sometimes) chemists? Tons.

Math and physics? Only a few.

Unfortunately, /sci/ only knows the names of ~40 scientists off the top of their head, whereas there are hundreds of thousands of scientists (living or dead from the past 50 years) in the world.

Yep.

Whether it's biological or cultural we cannot yet say, but right now women do not want to do science as much as men. The ones who do it are just as good.

A girl in mine class that i like ,,is going to be a much better scientist than i.

but i think they are much rarer than males , but i think it is because of the way society is made & that much women base thought on emotion and less on logic and that is the problem. of course that is good though for other things in nature :)

Well obviously no. Or else there would be women in my classes, wouldn't there?

Going through Uni my classes in biology moved less from 'biology' and more into my interests (biotech and genetics). The ratio of females went from 4:1 to ~1:1.

They all went into *shudder* animal biology.
