Will any integer times π ever equal another integer?

no

no

No.

Yes.
π*0=0

depends if you look at 0 as an integer, I don't

No. Not all mathematicians see 0 as a NATURAL number. But saying that 0 is not an integer makes no fucking sense. I know what I'm talking about.

So I guess we've established that 0/0 = pi.

It just means we're working in a particular kind of non-euclidian space. Hurf durf.

is there a proof of this Irrational*Rational = Irrational.

rationals are closed under addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-zero division.

If r is a rational number it can be written as p/q where p and q are integers.
Let J be an irrational number, then Jr = Jp/q. Since J isn't an integer (all integers are rationals, I think I don't need to prove this), Jp isn't an integer either, unless p = 0. Thus the number Jp/q = Jr isn't rational, provided r != 0.

>> No.1817660

doesnt this only prove :
rational+rational=rational
rational-rational=rational
rational*rational=rational
rational/rational=rational

Proof by contradiction:
Let J be irrational and a and be rational, with a different from 0. Assume that Ja = b. Then J = b/a. But b/a is rational and J was assumed to be irrational.
