With my simple Physics knowledge, I would assume that there would not be enough force from the magnetic field to spin that in a generator. The friction within the generator would be too much..

Oh and it doesn't stay in place, it wobbles. That would probably be super dangerous at with heavy stuff and high RPMs if you did happen to make one.
