So this graphic pruports to be a record of relationships in a certain school system. I have no idea how the data was collected, but i was interested in analyzing it. One approach would be to count the number of connections each dot has and tabulate how any 1-7 partner person each gender had. just doing the top right makes me want to come up with a better way. Would we be missing any important data just counting the terminal ends of all the chains? finding the ratio of boys to girls at the terminals and comparing ratio boys to girls of total population?

>> No.1767125

The girls number 140 in the smaller groups and the boys number 134.

I really like this. not the data, but its collection.

so, counting the fringes in the smaller groups i got 93 male terminals, and 108 female terminals, the ratio F/M=.861..., while the total population F/M~~.957

One interpretation of this is that the males make up more of the multi-partner bodies in those diagrams and thus are more "sluttish" than the females. but that larger structure in the top left is one i'm really interested in, because these smaller social circles likely represent the smaller, insular communities in the total student body.

good eye! i'd spotted that lesbian in the right corner and was wondering if there were any gay pairings in the system, that little 4 dot group probably has quite an interesting story to tell.

Theres also another one in the bottom left of the big loop. Part of the chain.

On thing that's interesting to me is the almost complete absence of any small loops. People really aren't that incestuous within social groups at this high school. I wonder how that compares to similar graphs for college student populations.

yeah, it's kind of a propogation of man law, don't date a bro's ex. it's an interesting way to visualize it. almost makes me want to be a sociologist.

What the fucking fuck? Apparently /a/ was right all along. Women are sluts, jocks are sluts, everyone is a fucking slut.

>> No.1767199

>>1767196
no, actually, we demonstrated with math that men are bigger sluts than women in the smaller groups, is anybody trying to count the large group?

in a study about relationship histories you're not gonna keep track of unconnected individuals. It'd be like doing a tiger census and then counting the number of lions as well. or the number of platypi.

what... I want to go to this school...

some guy fucked 8 girls in 6 months?

also, why is g-b-g-b repeated twice rather than having 2 written next to it?

They could have just put in the number of singles, just for reference. If you wanted to calculate the average number of sexual partners someone had, you would also need to account for those who had 0.

i suppose, and it would be useful knowledge of total population.

is anyone going to count the large network?

"romantic and sexual"... it doesn't say he necessarily fucked them all.

so i guess is true that if you sleep with one whore you sleep with every other person this whore had slept

>> No.1767244

>>1767234
You know, it's more likely that he fucked them all. It's the fringes who are more likely to be just romantic relationships.

>> No.1767249

37 people in the big loop, and interesting, there is a link in it that is gay dudes, corroborating an earlier statement there were 2 gay couples in the main loop.
