If red light travels faster than blue light, then maybe we just haven't found the right wavelength for ftl travel yet? NASA needs to put some budget into exploring the colour spectrum to find which one we can ride to other planets.

Maybe if we find a way to multiply light frequencies when they are combined instead of just adding them, the effects will be stronger. Like riding on a rainbow through the stars.
