is it time we start being more practical about space?
im not talking about all that "lets colonize moon/mars becuz we can"

But what about mining? we are going to start running out of a lot of mineral resources soon yet we have a solar system with more that we can use

Obviously we are not going to find Oil wells on lifeless rocks. but other resources are more precious such as metals , metals we would need to build electronics, solar cells buildings for our increasing population.

If we don't expand out towards space or civilization will crumble

We should terraform Mars because we will have an entire other planet to call home. Just think, an extra 144,798,500 km2 of living space.
Also because we can. And possibly quite cheaply, using today's technology.

And it is practical. Incase of some massive disaster in the future, we have a very good back up.
