my face when relativity principle means that it's impossible to prove whether earth revolves around the sun or the sun revolves around earth.

or they both revolve around a common centre of mass, sigh

They actually both revolve around their common center of gravity.

There is a gravitational attraction. The sun doesnt stay dead still while the earth revolves around it or vice versa, they both move. Because the sun is more massive it moves alot less than the Earth.

Imagine a man swinging a shot put round. He barely moves around but the shot put flies wildly around him because its less massive. Same principal. If you said the Earth revolves around the Sun it would be like watching a shot putter fly around the shot put.

>Also we've seen it happen. Other stars wobble slightly while the planets visibly orbit them. Not the other way around. It would be reasonable to assume our star and planet obey the same laws of physics and follow the same behaviour if we were observing our solar system from a distance.

implying earth's center of gravity is in the sun.

Center of Mass =/= Center of Gravity

>> No.1729388

Your face when I jack electrodes in your nipples and the earth and the sun actually BOTH revolve around the center of their masses which is situated well within the sun. This is commonly simplified to the earth revovles around the sun which is technically ok, but the former statement is the correct one cock and hook them to an electric cow fence. Moron.

my face when you think the common center of gravity is not simply mathematical averaging with no physical meaning.

But is it possible to prove whether a sun made of fire revolves around a sun made of ice, or the other way around?

I heard scientists were testing this right now.

I can only imagine what would happen if they hit into each other.

dear /sci/
if the earth is not the center of the universe, then where is the center of the universe?

>> No.1729648

you must specify is the center of mass is that of an object or a system, when the force field is uniform like gravity then center of mass and center of gravity are the same
