So /sci/ today while I was re-doing the theory of relativity I discovered that if E does indeed equal mass times the speed of light then the circumference of the Earth should have enough mass to bend space so that this theory is wrong. Thoughts?

This could be a ground breaking discovery...

Guess /sci/ prefers religion vs science threads over real science

"The circumference of the earth" has mass?

Anyway, ignoring the trolling in the spirit of science...

Earth has enough mass to bend spacetime! In fact, everything does! Why do you assume otherwise?

re-doing relativity
hahahhaha

bend space?
every particle does that

OP how old are you

>> No.1684980

It does bend space, but not enough to affect spacetime in any meaningful manner.

>> No.1684983

No you're doing it wrong. Mass cancels. We are energy. The universe is like a bowling ball.

OP, that's because Earth is actually a Timecube, four corners, right angles, all that jazz.
