GUYS GUYS! HERES MY PLAN!

>associates degree in community college (get before high school diploma) in astronomy
>high school diploma
>transfer to ohio state for bachelors in astrophysics

in that order.
Will it work?!

>> No.1646218

are you going to get your degree at CSCC? do they even offer astronomy?

>> No.1646224

no, not Columbus.

i don't even know if they offer astronomy.

lakeland does though.

>> No.1646228

dont even get the associates and just transfer the credits

How are you going to get into the college without a hs diploma? Does your school offer a post-secondary type thing where they will pay for your credit hours? If so then just do this >>1646228

If they don't I don't see how you're going to get admitted

my junior year of high school

half of my day is in the community college
the other half is in the high school

same with senior year

so that way, i'll get my hs diploma at the same time (or before) my associates, no?

I don't know how many credit hours the degree is and how many you can earn per year, you'll have to figure that out.

But another option is if you want to take AP classes for college credit. The best ones to take would be US History, Biology, Psychology, Government, English

Those will get you out of many of the elective classes.

PS. I just graduated from OSU in June

yeah, i'm taking/took all possible AP courses so far in my high school.

how is osu? how is the observatory? how awesome the astrophysics courses?

>> No.1646246

The best thing to do is just go talk to your guidance counselor at your school or email a counselor at lakeland too see about the specifics rather than ask /sci/.

OSU is great. I didn't take any astronomy/astrophysics courses though cause I was a molecular genetics major. Although I do think that the astronomy major has one of the highest credit hour reqs. at the school
