A question. Would an underwater hydroelectric generator work? Let's say you build one under a beach. You would dig in to the land like a dam.

Am I missing a step? Is this already being used?

There's a dam which lets water in through generators during high tide, and then lets it back out during low tide.

Well a hydroelectric generator needs a Dam built to have the flow of water create the force. These generators are usually built on rivers. What if you could do it using the ocean?
