The universe began in a state of absurdly low entropy for no apparent reason.

Checkmate, atheists. Srsly.

Don't mind me, just pointing out that inflation fails to solve the fine-tuning problem.

Our digestive systems have an absurdly high efficiency for no apparent reason.

Fine tunning isn't a problem. It's just an unlikely event that occurred. Deal w/ it.

relative to what?
who's to say everything here is very highly entropic, and the extra-universal space is much more contrasting

If I'm reading the abstract correctly, the paper's just saying that the electroweak force doesn't enter into fine-tuning issues. It says nothing about other forces or constants, and specifically contrasts weak interactions with the cosmological constant.
